    Yes — and that matters because an active workers' comp settlement can reduce your SSDI benefits under SSA's 80% combined benefit rule. We structure workers' comp settlements to minimize that offset. A firm that handles only one side of the equation cannot do this for you.

  • What if I've already been denied — for workers' comp, SSDI, or both?

    A denial is not a final answer. Workers' comp denials can be appealed before the NJ Division of Workers' Compensation. SSDI denials can be appealed through SSA reconsideration and ALJ hearings. Most people who ultimately receive disability benefits were denied at least once before approval.

  • Should I accept the insurance company's first settlement offer?
